Microblading
How does it work?
A semi-permanent tattoo on the eyebrows, creating feather strokes to give the appearance of fuller brows.
Body tattoos use ink, on the other hand cosmetic tattoos utilize pigments. They are designed to softly fade over time.
Is it painful?
We do everything we can to make the process as comfortable as possible.
Prior to the treatment, a topical anesthetic is applied to the surface of the skin, followed by a liquid anesthetic.
This numbs the area. Some people can feel a slight discomfort, but it’s a relatively pain free procedure.
How to prepare for your appointment
If you have an ideal shape and color in mind, bring a few reference photos with you to your appointment. You can fill in your eyebrows how you like them, then we can take into consideration the shape you desire.
If you regularly get your eyebrows shaped, waxed, threaded or tinted, please do so at least 3 days before your appointment.
If you frequently get your eyebrows groomed, tinted or threaded, please do so 4 days prior to your appointment.
Stay out of direct sun light for 2 weeks before and after the appointment.
Keep in mind
Being exposed to the sun over a period of time can cause slight fading and potentially discoloration of the pigment.
When you are healed, apply sunscreen to the treated area. You also have to option to use sunglasses or a hat.
Microshading Vs. Microblading
Microshading refers to the semi-permanent technique where the artist creates small pin-point dots to apply the pigment. this gives a “powder brow” appearance. and an overall bolder look to the eyebrows.
At Platinum Style and Aesthetics we offer Microblading. The artist uses a different technique to microshading. With microblading, microneedles are used to place the pigment into the skin with a feather/hairlike stroke. this gives a more natural effect, making it look like the eyebrows are more dense.
